Let's celebrate the beauty of God's creation and unite in prayer for our city's wellbeing as the world focuses on renewing and restoring the environment.
MTN’s Environment Stream is creating a pack of resources for you to use in your Sunday Service on 2nd June 2024. There’s also some great suggestions of environmental activities you can do together as a church through the week of World Environment Day which falls on Wednesday 5th June 2024.

We believe each individual is called to impact a sphere of city life.
This could be through their profession or passion in spheres
like Arts, Health, Business, Environment etc.
So, an MTN Stream is a group of people who want to bring
about positive change in a particular sphere/s.

WHAT DOES
A STREAM DO?
Streams create programs, content, events, experiences, projects, products and services that support the vision for positive change in the city. We also come alongside and work with existing and new projects created by other organisations or individuals.
WHO CAN JOIN
A STREAM?
Anyone can join a stream. We welcome individuals, churches, businesses, NGOs, any ministry, para-church organizations, or any other related entity.
HOW DOES MTN RELATE TO A STREAM?
A Stream operates in agreement with the vision, mission and core values of MTN. This especially relates to inclusivity and networking with organizations, individuals and churches that seek to come together around an issue.
MTN serves, encourages, supports, incubates, prays for, and spiritually covers Streams and Stream leaders.

ACTIVE STREAMS
SOCIAL CONCERN STREAM
The Mission:
To provide a forum for shared learning and capacity building to the church in Mumbai and its extended suburbs, resulting in excellent programmes.
The Social Concern Stream has been working since 2008 to bring together Christian NGOs in Mumbai. This stream is concerned with Community Development, Anti-Human Trafficking, Counselling and Mental Health, HIV-AIDS, Relief and Rehabilitation etc.
The Vision:
Equipping the church to bring transformation to the poor and marginalized.
ARTS STREAM
The Arts Collective began in 2014 when we held our first Arts Conference in Mumbai. Since then, we’ve been building a community of artists who embody the gospel through their art. This will bless the church and transform the city through Art Galleries, webinars, Arts Worship Nights, collaborative productions and more.
The Vision
To see every artist rooted in community and embodying the gospel in their life and art to release creativity in the church and renew and restore the city through the arts.
EXPLORE
CITY YOUTH MOVEMENT is an emerging movement among Mumbai churches and organisations leading to the growth of city youth ministries.
The Vision
To see all the young people in Mumbai use their spiritual gifts, talents and skills to transform the city even as they themselves are being transformed into the likeness of Christ.

FAITH & WORK STREAM
FAITH & WORK is a nationwide learning community exploring the endless connections between our Christian faith and our daily work.
Focus Areas
We engage issues at the intersection of our Christian faith and its implications for our work.
We challenge the belief that God is disconnected from our daily work and endeavour to experience God’s grace during every work day.
We ask: how can we become the kinds of people who find God in our daily work and as a result, become a blessing to the world around us?

EDUCATION STREAM
This Stream draws educators from different denominations and different parts of the city to see positive change in Education in Mumbai. We work together to bless teachers, students and education systems in the city. This includes every level and style of education - from early childhood to higher education.

FAMILY LIFE STREAM
The Family Life Stream has been running marriage courses and parenting courses for many years across the city.
The Stream is now connecting with the Alpha Marriage Course, Marriage Masala and offering online sessions on child safety.
ENVIRONMENT STREAM
This Stream was started with a vision of inspiring bible-based responses to the environment we are surrounded with in the city.
Focus Areas
We appreciate nature - Trees, Birds, Wildlife etc.
We care for the environment - Anti-Pollution drives, Beach clean-up, Tree planting etc.
We learn better lifestyles - Sustainable living, living with a smaller Carbon Footprint etc.
MENTAL HEALTH STREAM
In a nation where mental health is ignored, mental disorders are on the rise. This Stream exists to respond to the deep and desperate need of many in the city who are struggling with mental health issues. One of the aims of this Stream is to equip more churches with skills to respond to the crisis.
MTN has partnered with ACT to raise awareness of the current needs and ways in which the church can respond. We have developed a Lay Counselling Training Course which equips and supports the trainees in their counselling practice.
