STREAMS
Positive change will happen through churches not being hidden from the city but by being engaged with the city in a positive way – that makes the city
a better place for all people.
WHAT IS A STREAM?
An MTN stream is a group of Christian leaders in Mumbai who are passionate about an issue and have begun to come together to impact the spheres of life to see positive change in the city.

A stream is usually characterized by the coming together of a core team:

An emerging unified vision and mission

A shared set of values
-
A developing common long-term strategy for making the city better for all in a particular spheres of city life

A stream can consist of individuals, churches, businesses, NGOs, ministries, para-church organizations, and other related entities. The Stream itself will always be an overarching vision for positive change but may initially be expressed primarily as an organization.
WHAT WILL A STREAM DO?
A Stream may directly create programs, content, events, experiences, projects, products and services that support the vision for positive change in the city, or come alongside and work strategically with existing and emerging projects etc created by other organisations or individuals.
HOW DOES MTN RELATE TO A STREAM?
MTN’s Streams Working Group serves, encourages, supports, incubates, prays for, and spiritually covers Streams and Stream leaders. A Stream should always be in agreement with, and committed to the vision, mission and core values of MTN. This especially relates to inclusiveness and networking with organizations, individuals and churches that seek to come together around an issue.

ACTIVE STREAMS
The Education Stream is drawing together educators from different denominations and different parts of the city to see positive change in Education in Mumbai. We want to work together to bless teachers, students and education systems in the city. That includes every level and style of education right from early childhood to Higher Education.
The Education stream is currently offering very practical help to students and parents through Webinars to support Students as the study online and particularly those preparing for their exams.

EDUCATION STREAM
The Social Concern Stream has existed since 2008 and seeks to bring together the Christian NGOs in Mumbai who are concerned with Community Development, Anti-Human Trafficking, Counselling and Mental Health, HIV-AIDS, Relief and Rehabilitation etc.

CONCERN STREAM
The Arts Collective Mumbai

The Arts Collective began in 2014 when we held our first Arts Conference in Mumbai. With around 100 artists and pastors attending, we began exploring why God created the arts and artists. Since then we have been growing a community for artists, releasing creativity in the church and developing platforms for artists to transform the city.
ARTS STREAM
Faith and Work is a new experimental community in Mumbai created to explore, understand, and express the reality that God is deeply interested in our daily professional work.

This can take many shapes and forms and we are here to explore a lot of that. The F&W community takes shape around this deep and highly under-appreciated truth about our Christian faith: that our professional and work lives really matter to God.
We are here to help create intentional journeys for believers who envision their work as central to their own walk with Christ, bringing revelation of the Kingdom to the world, and to the forming of culture in the cities of our beloved nation.
