MTN VISION
ACCELERATING CHANGE THROUGH UNITED PRAYER, CREATIVITY AND SERVICE
When we talk about vision, we’re asking the question “Why does MTN exist?” We believe MTN exists to fill a deep need in our city – helping churches, leaders and Christian organisations have real positive impact in improving all areas of life. MTN doesn’t believe it has all the answers but wishes to create an open platform where we can work together to discover those answers.

MTN wants to see positive change in Mumbai and beyond through:

1. CHRIST-FOLLOWING COMMUNITIES NETWORKING TOGETHER IN LONG-TERM HOLISTIC CHANGE
This is more than just exchanging business cards. Building relationships between churches, leaders and organisations for a deeper purpose is what we mean by networking. We are seeing the fruit of this network growing already and we believe the impact will reach into every part of the city and every sphere of life.

2. CHRIST-CENTERED PEOPLE PARTNERING WITH PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS AND ENTITIES ON COLLABORATIVE INITIATIVES IN THE NATIONAL INTEREST
When we work together, in all our diversity, the impact we create is so much greater than when we work alone. Collaboration breeds creativity and our complex city Mumbai is in great need of creative solutions to its problems. These solutions will involve Christians coming alongside the leaders of the city to see lasting positive change.

3. A MULTIGENERATIONAL, MULTICULTURAL THRUST FOR INCREASED SOCIAL & ECONOMIC JUSTICE

We are deeply committed to being inclusive across ages, traditions, professions and genders. We unite around a desire to bring that same sense of equality and fairness to a city that lives with injustice every day.

MTN MISSION
RALLYING CHURCHES. IGNITING MOVEMENTS. SPEAKING HOPE.
What are the main things MTN will do to see the vision come about? MTN sees our mission expressed in these 3 ways through working in our neighborhoods (via Zones) and in specific spheres of society in our city (via Streams).
The FIVE guiding principles undergirding MTN’s Mission:

1. MTN CALLS CHRIST-CENTERED CHURCHES/ORGANIZATIONS TO PRAY IN UNITY
We are inviting all Christ-centered people to engage in the work of prayer at many levels for the sake of the city. Whether it be in a Zone meeting, at a Prayer Summit or in Streams, we can all contribute to the transformation of the city by interceding together in prayer.

2. MTN ENCOURAGES CHURCHES TO COLLABORATE WITH PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS/ENTITIES FOR THE COMMON GOOD
There are so many people of other faiths working for the transformation of Mumbai. We believe it is important to engage with these individuals, groups, government bodies and public institutions to work with them strategically for the greater good of all people.

3. MTN CATALYZES CHURCHES TO WORK TOGETHER IN GOD’S LOVE TO IMPACT ALL SPHERES OF LIFE

We want to respond to the prayer of Jesus for unity of the whole body of Christ: that we might be as one. As we express that unity through collaborative acts of service, the world around will see His love impact their lives.

4. MTN SERVES AS A VOICE FOR CHURCHES AND FOR SOCIETY-AT-LARGE
As our influence increases as a network of churches and Christian groups, we will have much greater clarity and impact through our message of hope and peace. As a united voice, we can both represent the love of Christ to society-at-large and speak clearly into social issues on behalf of society, all with the desire to see positive change in our city.

5. MTN DEVELOPS NETWORKS FOR MEANINGFUL ENGAGEMENT IN CIVIL SOCIETY
​
For many non-believers, the church is a complicated and insular part of society that they know very little about; and therefore don’t connect with. MTN wants to change that image. It is developing ways for people in society to collaborate with the church as a whole in an effective way.

Our values are what make us function the way we do. They are the foundations of how we behave, make decisions, relate to one another. We have prayerfully considered these values and seek to remain accountable to preserving them as we move forward.
